REPORTS:
Second Term Reports of your wards have been forwarded to your Infoview gBook, SMS, and emails.
SCHOOL FEES:
The bills for the Third term fees were posted to your emails and Infoview gBook on the vacation day. Administration wishes to remind all parents of the school’s policy on the payment of school fees which stipulates that 50% of the fees be paid on or before the resumption of school on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 and the rest settled immediately after the midterm break. All students with outstanding fees from Term 2 must settle them before the resumption of school on Tuesday, May 7, 2024. Administration has arranged with Standard Chartered Bank Tellers who would be available at the School’s Accounts Office for a fortnight when school resumes to collect school fees from parents who would wish to pay cash at the school between the hours of 8:00 am and 3:30 pm. Kindly take advantage of this opportunity. The Headmistress’ Office is open to discussing payment plans with parents who have challenges paying the fees on schedule.
PUNCTUALITY:
The gates are closed at 8:00 am. Let’s ensure that our children report to school early and settle down for the day’s activities. Administration is counting on your cooperation.
LOCKERS:
The lockers for classes 4 to JHS 3 have been delivered and installed for our children’s use in the various classrooms. A locker would be assigned to a child. Kindly provide your ward with a keyholder. The lockers would provide a secure and dedicated space for students to store their belongings.
MOVEMENT OF SWIPING MACHINES AND CANTEEN ACCOUNTS CLERK:
The swiping machines have been relocated to the school’s canteen premises. Effective on the reopening day, all students and parents will have to swipe for the daily menu at the walls of the canteen area. In addition, the canteen accounts clerk, Helen Lokko’s office has been transferred to the Canteen. One can visit her in the mornings as you drive out of the school’s premises towards the exit gate. Parents are encouraged to park outside the walls of the school to avoid traffic congestion. Kindly take advantage of the Canteen’s MoMo accounts to make payments for your wards at your convenience. The Management of the school’s canteen, the HDR Sisters have made the following numbers available to enable parents to pay for their ward’s lunch and snacks online: MoMo: 0598944701 Name: HDR Sister Merchant Network: 078949 Kindly use your ward’s name as reference when you make payments to enable their account to be credited appropriately.
APPEARANCE:
Administration reminds all parents to ensure that our children trim their hair low all round (1 inch) at all times for all boys and girls from class 6 to JHS 3. For Girls in KG2 to class 5 who braid, their hair should come with simple cornrows with their natural hair all back with no attachments and neatly tucked at the nape of their necks. All girls must wear the simple prescribed studded earrings.
CARDIGAN:
Customized cardigans are available at the Bookshop for the children as the rains are imminent and we anticipate inclement weather conditions. You are encouraged to get one for your ward as Administration wants uniformity in the outfit of the students at all times.
OBSERVANCE OF ASCENSION DAY:
Administration wishes to bring to the attention of all parents that Thursday, May 9, 2024, is Ascension Day. Ascension Day is a Holy Day of Obligation in the Catholic Church. In observance of the day, there would be NO SCHOOL on Thursday, May 9, 2024.
KG 2 ADMISSIONS:
Parents whose children wrote the readiness test to be admitted in Kindergarten 2 in September must visit the school on the 7th, 8th, and 10th May 2024 between the hours of 8:00 am to 12:00 noon as specified in the letters given on the day they took the test. Those who were originally scheduled for the 9th of May, 2024, can decide to pick up their results either the day before or after since the 9th would be observed as a Catholic holiday.
BECE:
Our final year students would write their BECE in July. In view of that, preparations towards their final exams would be intensified in the subsequent months. Morning classes would be held throughout the week whereas the Afternoon’s Prep would be held on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. Subject teachers would supervise the Afternoon’s Prep and assist them with their challenges. Kindly advise your wards to attach a high level of seriousness and importance to their studies to achieve the desired results. Please keep them in your prayers.
SPECIAL HEADMISTRESS’ EXAM / COMMON ENTRANCE:
A Special Headmistress’ Examination would be written by all students in the Junior High School (JHS) Department. The special examination seeks to serve as an additional platform for our JHS 3 Students to revisit and reinforce fundamental concepts and at the same time create a healthy competition among the students in the Junior High School Department. It would involve all subjects and it’s scheduled to start on Monday, May 20, 2024, and end on Thursday, May 23, 2024. Students in class 6 and JHS 2 will write a common entrance exam to be promoted to the next class for the next academic year in September. We are entreating parents to assist the school by ensuring that our children use their time wisely after school.
TEATIME WITH JHS PARENTS:
There would be a “Tea Time with Parents” of all JHS students on Friday, May 17, 2024, at 12:00 pm in the Assembly Hall. The program seeks to foster close interactions between Parents and Teachers as part of measures to ensure that the students are fully prepared for the BECE. Parents of the final year students would have the opportunity to check on their wards’ progress and to discuss measures in place for their smooth transition into Senior High School. Attendance of all parents would be appreciated.
END OF TERM EXAMS:
These exams would be written from Wednesday, June 26, 2024, to Tuesday, July 2, 2024.
EDUCATIONAL TRIP:
The children of JHS 2 will be embarking on an educational trip to the Central Region of Ghana on Saturday, May 11, 2024. They would leave the school premises at 6:00 am and return by 6:00 pm on the same day. The trip seeks to provide students with practical and experiential learning to enrich their academic work and to broaden their horizon. Kindly encourage your wards to participate in this trip.
SICK BAY:
The school’s sick bay continues to cater to the first aid and emergency needs of the students. Kindly inform the school of any special medical condition of your ward(s).
VISITORS:
All visitors to the school must report to the security station at the main gate.
